We are a church that is a catalyst, convener and bridge builder.
Our ELCA provides young adults the opportunity to grow in their faith and work hand-in-hand with our global neighbors through our Young Adults in Global Mission (YAGM) program. Volunteers ranging from age 21 to 29 plunge into a life-changing year-long journey in communities around the world. As they share their gifts of service, they also receive the gifts of their hosts' hospitality, engaging in relationships of mutuality, interdependence, solidarity and trust. Christ Lutheran Congregation is blessed to have Chad Nelsen as one of the 78 YAGM participants for 2015-2016. Chad is serving in Rwanda in central Africa. In the two preceding years, we have also been blessed to have Katrina Hanson and then Luke Hanson representing our congregation as YAGM volunteers. |
